2022 Reflections: A World of CHAOS

2022 Reflections: A World of CHAOS

Music has a way of speaking my true language for me. I often find myself lacking the correct words to express how I think or feel. I’m ‘fluent’ in Swedish and English, but neither ever seem to fully touch the message I'm trying to relay. I also don’t necessarily speak music, but I feel it — like many others around the globe. Many times I feel the music before understanding what it’s all about. This is the heartbeat and source of creation for the moniker Axel King. It's my personal mission to try to extract my thoughts, feelings, and energies into something tangible that can be heard, seen, and discussed as a small puzzle piece to contribute to a better world.

When I originally started writing these words (months ago, but never got to publishing), the final hours of The CHAOS Collection had just wrapped and the merch capsule has since transcended into its afterlife. Additionally, The HOLIDAY Collection was created and was able to find its way into multiple homes this December. To each of the 23 kind souls who secured their piece of Axel King history — the 1st collection ever released — I bow to you with a heart full of gratitude. The story of PRISONER originated from a neighborhood shooting that led to a fictional 11-minute story and audio experience, but as with any layered piece of art I hope it connects with you in your own way (and I love to hear from you)

With only a few hours left before we enter 2023, I'd like to share a quick summary of a few highlights from this year:

I share this because I am so incredibly thankful of your support and want you to understand what an impact you have on me. I love when people care; whether it's about music, art, mental health, or contributing to a better world in other ways —and I want to bring my best self.

Please don't lose your spark and positive light in this world. We live in a world of CHAOS, so we might as well embrace it with our truth and love.

Wishing you a beautiful 2023.

Love,
Axel
